Latest Business Support From East Riding Of Yorkshire Council - 12/01/21

East Riding Of Yorkshire Council are pleased to provide our latest Covid-19 business support update.


This week it includes information about the third national lockdown and new grants to support businesses.
ERYC are awaiting further guidance from the Government on the new lockdown grants and will provide an update once they have any further information. However, those that have already applied for any of the previous grants will receive the new payments automatically, as the relevant information has already been received. New applications will be permitted from those that have not previously applied.


National lockdown: Stay at Home
On Monday 4 January, the Prime Minister announced a third national lockdown. Find out what you can and cannot do:

£4.6 billion in new lockdown grants to support businesses and protect jobs
Businesses in the retail, hospitality and leisure sectors are to receive a one-off grant worth up to £9,000, the Chancellor has announced:

Additional Restrictions Grant (ARG)
This scheme provides support for those businesses that do not qualify for the mandatory national business grants during the various periods of national and local restrictions imposed by the Government. This includes businesses that have not been mandated to close, that are ineligible for the Local Restrictions Grant scheme and can demonstrate a severe impact on business turnover as a result of restrictions and have fixed business costs.

Kickstarting Tourism Grants
The Humber Business Growth Hub has been allocated European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) monies by government to operate a Covid-19 Recovery grant scheme to help Small to Medium sized businesses (SMEs) in the Visitor Economy/Tourism sectors to recover from the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic. SMEs that have been negatively impacted by Covid-19 and that have an eligible project proposal can apply for the grant: https://www.humbergrowthhub.org/kickstarting-tourism-grants-for-smes/
