Latest Business Support From East Riding Of Yorkshire Council - 2/11/20

East Riding Of Yorkshire Coouncil are pleased to provide their latest Covid-19 business support update.
Council response to Government’s COVID-19 lockdown announcement.
As of Saturday 31 October the East Riding has moved into local alert level 2 (High) with regards to COVID-19.
This means that additional restrictions, such as no indoor mixing of different households, are now in place.
On Saturday evening (31st October) the Prime Minister announced that, subject to Parliamentary approval, from Thursday, 5 November, there will be a month-long lockdown in England, with tighter restrictions in place including:
• Working from home, where it is possible to do so
• Only leaving home for specific reasons, such as shopping for essential items or taking exercise. Those who cannot work from home can travel for work
• Non-essential shops and hospitality, such as pubs, restaurants and cafes, and entertainment venues will close
Schools, colleges and universities will remain open and the Prime Minister also confirmed that the furlough scheme will be extended until December.
The restrictions will remain in place until Wednesday, 2 December and would supersede all present restrictions.
The council will continue to do all it can to support residents, businesses and communities and to continue delivering vital public services.
Financial support for businesses will beavailable and the council will communicate how to access this as soon as possible.

Coronavirus Business Interruption Loan Scheme:-
The Coronavirus Business Interruption Loan Scheme (CBILS) provides financial support to smaller businesses affected by coronavirus (COVID-19) and will close to applications after 30 November 2020.

Coronavirus Bounce Back Loan:-
The Bounce Back Loan Scheme (BBLS) enables smaller businesses to access finance more quickly during the coronavirus outbreak and is open to applications until 30 November 2020.
