The NHS Test and Trace COVID-19 App
The NHS Test and Trace COVID App will be released for mass use on the 24th September.
The app is a vital part of the overall NHS Test and Trace service and the two biggest lessons learnt from the pilot’s are the incredible power of local networks and that giving businesses the opportunity to get ready and launch QR posters is key
Businesses and venues across England and Wales who will require QR code posters are being requested to use the time between now and the launch date to get prepared.
Help is being requested:
1. To lead the way in helping relevant businesses and venues in your local community to start generating and displaying NHS QR posters, so visitors and customers can start checking in safely and securely to those settings from the 24th September. This is the main priority for the next two weeks and I attach some further information for your teams to support.
2. To use your communications channels to promote the app and drive awareness amongst your local communities when it is launched. Your advocacy really matters to us and your considerable networks will help us to reach as many people as possible.
The more people who use the app, the better it will work – and it will help us get ahead of the virus, preventing a second wave, further local lockdowns, and further disruption to the economy. You have all been incredible partners in NHS Test and Trace so far and on behalf of the entire NHS Test and Trace team, I’d like to express our sincere thanks for your commitment to playing your part and supporting us on our mission.
